The RVF’s ongoing program in partnership with the Armenian Ministry of Health (MOH) and UNICEF to eliminate measles and congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) from the country got an enormous boost in October 2007 with the mass immunization campaign. measles and rubella over a period of a few weeks. Following the campaign the RVF continue to support the MOH in strengthening the routine vaccination of children against measles and rubella. By the end of 2009 this program will be financed entirely by the government of Armenia.
